Abstract

Brain on Fire: How Biotoxins Cause Brain Inflammation

The brain is a major target of damage in inhalational toxicity from exposure to mold. There are at least 37 different symptoms associated with exposure to mold, and nearly half are related to the brain or autonomic nervous system. In this short talk I will discuss common neuropsychiatric symptoms associated with mold exposure, possible neurological pathological mechanisms related to mold toxicity and offer some practical means for recognition and effective treatment.
